Delano C. Goad

Delano C. Goad, 71, of Fredericktown died August 21, 2008 in Fredericktown.

He was born March 4, 1937 at Coldwater (Wayne County, Missouri), a son of Claude C. Goad and Grace R. (Hargiss) Goad.

On August 18, 1957 he was united in marriage to Geraldine Kay Cook at Mountain View Church in Marquand, Missouri.

Mr. Goad was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Kathleen Haggett.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Kay Goad of Fredericktown; one son, Douglas Goad of Fredericktown; two daughters, Delania Reed and Dawn Weekley both of Fredericktown; two brothers, Gordon Goad of Fredericktown and Harold Goad of Texas; and two sisters, Marie Roach of Fredericktown and Eleanor of Melbourne, Florida.

Mr. goad had ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Mountain View Church in Marquand and enjoyed bluegrass music, camping and traveling.

Services were held August 25, 2008 at Praise Temple Church with the Reverend Gene Rauls officiating. Burial was at Praise Temple Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Bradley Weekley, Bryan Weekley, Matthew Smith, Darren Goad, Jesse Sanders and Darrell  Jarrett.
