Illinois man hurt after motorcycle collides with building

An Illinois man suffered moderate injuries Sunday when his 2008 Yamaha YFZ450 collided with a building in Washington County.

According to Missouri Highway Patrol reports, Cory S. Whitehead, 19, of Granite City, was northbound on Woodland Lake at Mine Road at 4:15 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle while performing stunts at a high rate of speed. When the vehicle hit the building, Whitehead was ejected into the building.

Whitehead was flown by air ambulance to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Damage to the Yamaha was listed as minor.
