Lindell Elders
FARMINGTON — Lindell M. Elders of Farmington passed away Friday, October 17, 2008, at Southbrook Nursing Facility at the age of 82 years. He was born on November 2, 1925, at Esther, MO, son of the late Albert M. and Mary (Wray) Elders. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant son, Larry Wayne Elders and two brothers, Herschel and Myron Elders.
Lindell worked as a baker for several years at Stotler’s Bakery in Flat River and later retired from Federal IGA. He was a charter member of the Farmington First Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Helen (Sales) Elders, a daughter, Diana (James) Dawson, a son, Rich (Pam) Elders, all of Farmington, three grandsons, Darrell (Becky) Miller of Festus, Justin (Danyielle) Elders of St. Louis, and Brian Elders of Farmington, a granddaughter, Dana McKee of Park Hills, three great-grandchildren, Darren Coleman, Tessa Coleman, and Owen Elders, two brothers, Delmar (Virginia) Elders of Farmington and Kenneth (Deloris) Elders of St. Charles. Several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends also survive.
Friends may call on Saturday, October 18, from 5-9 p.m. at the Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Farmington First Assembly of God Church with a funeral service following at 2 p.m. with the Reverends Kevin Davis, Hugh Cerutti, and Joseph Kochis officiating.
