District champs Lady Raiders place four on All-District team

POTOSI — The honors are still coming in for the North County Lady Raiders after winning their first district championship and the first by a MAAA Conference team. Four players for the Lady Raiders were deservedly voted All-District by the district coaches.

The pitching duo of Jennifer Hackworth and Katie Gibson, both seniors, were selected along with senior catcher Jamie Bullock and junior infielder Erica Inman. The two pitchers combined for a 20-4 record, losing two of those games to final-four qualifier Cape-Notre Dame.

The De Soto Lady Dragons and Potosi Lady Trojans also had four players named to the All-District team. Dee Dee Peters, Beth Winckel, Abby Roland and Hailey Brown represented the second-place  Lady Dragons. Ali Rhodes, Kayti Stone, Ashley Duncan and Jessica Cain were the Potosi representatives. Potosi lost in the semi-finals

Melanee Cunningham, Amber Kennedy and Addie Scoggin were selected All-District from the Central Lady Rebels, and Brianna Denman, Alyssa Allgier and Miriah Korokis were selected from the Fredericktown Lady Cats. Doniphan also had three players named with Christian Ivy, Mary Beth Cosgrove and Jan Smith also making the 21-player squad.
