Kenneth Noakes

DOE RUN — Kenneth Joseph Noakes of Doe Run passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital at the age of 60 years. He was born on November 10, 1947, in St. Louis, son of Mildred Virginia (Matlock) Noakes and the late Joseph B. Noakes.

Mr. Noakes proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. Before retirement, he worked as a Police Officer for almost 30 years for the St. Louis County Police Department. Most recently he worked in sales at Hoods Discount Home Center.

He is survived by his wife, Karen L. (Morris) Noakes, his mother, Mildred Virginia Noakes, two sons, Kevin Noakes and Shawn Noakes, a daughter, Heather Love, two grandsons, Jacob and Christian Love, four sisters and a brother. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2008. Visitation will resume at 7 a.m. Monday with a funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Full Military Honors will follow the funeral. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. Louis Children’s Hospital Neonatal Unit.
