Homan Hall, Marquand MO

On November 8th, the stage at Homan Hall will come to life with the soulful sounds of the Jazz world, as a troupe of world-class performers from St. Louis bring down the house with an evening filled with “All That Jazz!”  The performance will be anchored by Mrs. Jeanne Trevor herself, along with Tim Mead and hometown boy,  Rocky Tucker!

With roots grounded deep within the entertainment history of St. Louis, the renowned Jeanne Trevor  was born in Harlem, New York City, New York.  Trevor has experienced an unforgettable musical journey, which has taken her across the nation, and into the hearts of Jazz lovers all over the world.  Rising to fame in St. Louis’ historic Gaslight Square Entertainment District, Jeanne is not only a multi-talented vocalist, but an accomplished theatre performer, as well.  Featured in numerous productions at The MUNY in St. Louis, including a recent appearance in Les Miserables, the artist has received a number of nationally acclaimed awards for her touring appearances in theatre, television, jazz performances (which have toured the world), and charitable efforts.  Whether performing at a local jazz festival, or on stage, Trevor is in her element when with a crowd of music lovers.   Her distinctive style, rhythm, and vocal abilities have a soul-stirring effect on any piece of music.

Joining her on stage will be St. Louis’ own Tim Mead.  Talent is second nature to Mead, who enjoys instrumentals, is proficient with many instruments, has a vibrant tenor voice, and is an accomplished songwriter.  Often performing his own lyrics, Mead is a true artist, and finds great pleasure in the entertainment world.  Among his greatest fans are his wife, mother and daughter, who travel with him whenever possible.

Bringing these two voices together on stage will be Marquand born Rocky Tucker.  Embarking on his musical career as a pianist at the early age of  six, Tucker has continued his training throughout his adult life.  As an entertainer, Rocky has performed across the United States at Theatres and Cabaret Clubs in St. Louis, New York, San Francisco, Phoenix, New Jersey and Texas.  His broad range of style includes Broadway, Society, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Country and Gospel.  A highly sought after pianist, Tucker is looking forward to this return visit to his hometown.

Homan Hall is located in historic downtown Marquand, and is a beautifully restored early 20th century entertainment hall.  For further information or advance tickets call:  573-783-4769 or 573-783-7525 (message number).
