Violina (Baker) Carver
PILOT KNOB — Violina (Baker) Carver, 102, of Potosi, passed away, Tuesday morning, November 18, 2008, at Georgian Gardens Nursing Home.
She was born to the late Joseph and Adelia (Reed) Reeves, March 6, 1906, and was the fourth of seven children.
She was united in marriage to George Baker in 1923. To this union four children were born: Vern (Fern) Baker, Farmington; Bill (Rita) Baker, Killeen, Texas; Ruth (Andy) Woerner, Oradell, N.J.; Dale Baker, Potosi; all survive her. George preceded her in death in August, 1948. She was united in marriage to Charles Carver in 1961. He preceded her in 1962.
Also preceding her in death were all her brothers and sisters. Bessie (Arthur) Henson; Rev. Bill (Vada) Reeves; Rev. Oggie (Pauline) Reeves; Norman (Golda) Reeves; Leoma (Ed) Morris; Myrtle (Fred) Edmonds; and half-brother Rupert Reeves.
She is survived by twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and fifteen great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
She was a member of the Baptist Church but hasn’t been able to attend for a number of years.
Visitation at Bryson Funeral Home in Pilot Knob, Wednesday evening, November 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be Thursday morning, November 20 at 11 a.m. at Bryson Funeral Home, with Dr. Rick Broadway officiating. Interment in Huff Cemetery, Chloride, Mo.
