Thomas Miller

MITCHELL — Thomas Oran Miller, 89, of Mitchell passed away November 19, 2008 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis. He was born July 16, 1919 in Mitchell.

He was a charter member of Mitchell Baptist Church; served as Deacon since 1961; was a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Leadwood Masonic Lodge #598.

Preceded in death by: Parents, John and Florence (Bunch) Miller; two brothers, Leo Miller and John Miller; four sisters, Clara Richardson, Raye France, Lois Bradam, and Faye Penberthy.

Survived by: Wife, Ilah J. (Penberthy) Miller of Mitchell; son, John Miller and wife Pam of DeFiance; daughter, Linda (Mrs. Don Serini) of Mitchell; five grandchildren, Karen (Mrs. Mike Chapman), Kristen (Mrs. Brent Belfield), Stephanie (Mrs. Eric Blazina); seven great grandchildren, Michaela, Karissa, Braden, Zachary, Andrew, Amelia, Benjamin.

Visitation Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 5 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services Friday, November 21, at 1 p.m. at CZ Boyer and Son Chapel with Rev. Bearl Pettus and Pastor Joe Trokey officiating. Interment at St. Francois Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Mitchell Baptist Church.
