Billy Braden Lomax

Billy Braden Lomax, 81, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri died November 16, 2008 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 6, 1927 at Franklin, Tennessee, a son of Robert Hiram and Sarah Emmaline (Sanders) Lomax.

On October 24, 1952 he was united in marriage to Troyce Ann Rollins at Holcomb, Missouri.

Mr. Lomax is survived by his wife, Troyce Ann Lomax of Poplar Bluff; four children, Steve Lomax of Sikeston, Missouri, Ron   and wife, Karen Lomax of O’Fallon, Missouri, Luann Elledge and husband, Dave of Poplar Bluff and Lana Lomax of Poplar Bluff.

He had six grandchildren: Lauren Elledge Hasanova and husband, Zaur of Poplar Bluff, Lyndsee Elledge of Poplar Bluff, Luke Elledge of Poplar Bluff, Braden Lomax of O’Fallon, Kaylan Lomax of O’Fallon and Kelsey Lomax of O’Fallon; and special niece, Derotha Skaggs of Poplar Bluff as well as several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, two sisters, and one granddaughter.

Mr. Lomax was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Korean War.

He was a retired maintenance supervisor at Three Rivers Community College.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.

Services were held on November 20,2008 at the First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff with the Reverend Ron Lomax and the Reverend Dave Elledge officiating. Burial was at Veteran’s Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with military honors.
