Lady Cats win home opener

The Lady Cats Basketball team won its home opener, Thursday night, 69-57, over St. Vincent.

The Cats trailed early in the game. They were down 16-9 after one quarter and 32-29 at halftime.

After 29 first-half points, the Lady Cats scored 20 each in the third and fourth quarters. They took the lead in the third quarter, and entered the fourth up 49-47.

Kylie Oertel led the Cats with 30 points and 19 rebounds. Lauren Henderson scored 14 points and had four blocked shots. Megan Moser scored 11, Allison McDowell scored ten, and Liz Laut scored four. Oertel added seven steals and six assists. McDowell had five assists.
