Concert in Farmington Wednesday

The Missouri State University Concert Chorale will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Farmington. The concert is free.

The chorale of 53 voices is the primary touring choir of the Dept. of Music  at Missouri State University and has enjoyed a long tradition of giving concerts annually in Hermann. The Chorale has toured from Los Angeles to New York, Miami to Puerto Rico and given six tours in Europe. The Chorale is directed by Dr. Guy B. Webb, who has served as Director of Choirs at MSU since 1980.

The program, sponsored by the Hermann Arts Council, will consist of works by Ockegham, Lassus, Mendelssohn, Escher, Fletcher, Schnittke, R. Strauss, Forbes, Thompson and Paulus.
