Driver suffers moderate injuries in two vehicle accident

A two vehicle accident was reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol at 8:00 a.m. on January 6, 2009 two miles north of Fredericktown on Highway OO.

According to the report, Patricia Harris, 32, of Fredericktown driving a 1997 GMC Jimmy crossed the center line and struck the side of a 2008 Freightliner Madison County Road and Bridge dump truck. Dump truck driver Clyde E. Bess of Fredericktown was uninjured.

Harris suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown.

Both drivers had seat belts on according to the report.

The accident was investigated by Sergeant Matt Renshaw of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
