Evelyn Virginia Godwin

Evelyn Virginia Godwin, 93, died January 6, 2009 at the Wilshire at Lakewood Nursing Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

She was born November 12, 1915 in Litchfield, Illinois, a daughter of Andrew and Virginia (Moyers) Ruth.

Ms. Godwin was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Andrew Ruth III and Max Ruth; two sisters, Vernel McFarland and Betty Shetley; and one nephew.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ms. Godwin was a high school graduate and worked as a telephone operator.

A private graveside service was held January 10, 2009 at the Christian Cemetery in Fredericktown with Pastor Wesley Knight officiating.
