Man jailed after police find heroin

DESLOGE — A man is in jail after police say they found him with a large amount of heroin Friday.

Sheriff Dan Bullock said one of his officers received information that the 36-year-old Desloge man had a large amount of heroin and Desloge Police and the Mineral Area Task Force were contacted. Officers went to the man’s apartment and found a substantial amount of heroin and a large amount of prescription pills.

Bullock believes Bonne Terre Police also assisted in the investigation. Charges are pending so the man’s name is not being released.
