Central junior heads to Washington, D.C.
Doug Hill, a junior at Central High School, has been selected to participate in a National Youth Leadership Forum in Washington D.C. in February. His nomination was based on his exemplary academic performance. The mission of the Forum on National Security is to recognize and honor the nation’s most outstanding high school scholars.
Hill will hear from and meet with top policy makers and experts in the field of national security, intelligence and diplomacy. He will go behind the scenes of the United States Diplomatic and national security policy-making structure to experience how the United States plans for peace and prepares for crisis. He will meet the decision makers, diplomats and military leaders who are charged with keeping our nation safe.
The students participating will have an opportunity to visit the Central Intelligence Agency, State Department, DEA Museum, The Federal Bureau Of Investigations, the Pentagon, U.S. Court of Appeals For the Armed Forces and many other places.
Hill is the son of Donald and Donna Hill. School records indicate he is the first Central student to be chosen for the Forum.
