The two Varsity games during the Ellington Tournament ended with losses. The first game against Eminence ended 102-33. Then the second game against Zalma ended 87-51.

The Junior Varsity’s had one game in the Ellington Tournament. They also played Eminence and lost, 70-44.

January 2, 2009, was the first home game of the season against Risco. The Varsity game ended at 76-42. Then the Junior Varsity also lost at 47-39.

January 5, 2009, the Tigers took on Jackson. Both games ended in losses (Varsity) 69-24, and (Junior Varsity) 56-21.

January 6, the team went to Perryville to play St. Vincent. The Varsity team played well but sadly lost with an ending score 40-70. Then the Junior Varsity team played and also lost at 19-57.

January 9, 2009, was the Homecoming game against the Greenville Bears. The Junior Varsity won with an ending score of 51-37. Then the Varsity played amazing and won 62-47. This was the first Homecoming in two years where both Junior Varsity and Varsity won their respective games.
