Lillian Eleanor Ward
Lillian Eleanor Ward, 93, of Fredericktown died December 28, 2008 at Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown.
She was born February 11, 1915 at Fredericktown, a daughter of Charles Henry Stanley Lamb and Ricka Albertina Ottander Lamb.
On June 24, 1937 she was united in marriage to Melbourne Russell Ward of Fredericktown, Missouri at Fredericktown.
Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her husband Melbourne Ward on September 9, 1979; her parents; three brothers, Henry Lamb, Alfred Lamb and Carl Lamb; and two sisters, Irene Weatherford and Hilda Moyer.
She is survived by one son, Ronald Lee Ward and wife Janet of Fredericktown; and one daughter, Carolyn Theresa Kegley and husband Perry of Fredericktown.
She had four grandchildren: Kathy Kegley (Chuck) Moore, Julie Ward (Dereck) Buford and Rhonda Ward (David) White all of Fredericktown, and Janell Ward (Travis) Rehkop of Farmington, Missouri; and four great-grandchildren: Dawson and Carson Buford and Josiah and Nathanael White.
Mrs. Ward was a member of the Fredericktown United Methodist Church and of the Methodist faith.
Mrs. Ward was a member of the Young Mothers Club and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Services were held December 31, 2008 at the Fredericktown United Methodist Church with the Reverend Rick Lasley and the Reverend Robert Graham officiating. Burial was at the Christian Cemetery in Fredericktown.
Pallbearers were: Chuck Moore, Dereck Buford, David White, Travis Rehkop, Ronald Ward, and Perry Kegley.
