Wilburn Hayes
FARMINGTON — Mr. Wilburn C. Hayes, 82, passed away January 28th at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis County. Wilburn was born July 3, 1926, in Reynolds County, Missouri, and was the son of Clinton Hayes and Flossie ‘Smith’ Hayes. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Martha ‘Shoopman’ Hayes (2006); one son, Ronnie Howard Hayes (1970); two Brothers: Willard and Lowell Hayes; two Sisters: Dalena Wisdom and Ilene May.
Wilburn was a US ARMY Veteran of World War II; a member of the Pleasant Hill United Baptist Church and owner/operator of: Hayes Service Center in Farmington; Ozark Village; Hayes Gulf and Hayes Shell Station in Farmington.
Survivors Include: One Daughter, Karen ‘Mrs. Harold’ Marler, of Farmington; two Sons: Wilburn Lavern (and Jane) Hayes, of Park Hills; Mike (and Tammy) Hayes, of Farmington; three Sisters: Roberta ‘Mrs. Lee’ Smith; Betty ‘Mrs. Dallas’ Huffman and Flossie Pogue, all of Fredericktown. Two Brothers: Tommy (and Charlotte) Hayes, of Park Hills; Bobby (and Doris) Hayes, of Imperial, Missouri. Five Grandchildren: Candy ‘Mrs. Ernie’ Acton; Rhonda Smith; Chad (and Jennefer) Marler; Chris Hayes (and girlfriend, Jennifer Stanfill); Kristen Hayes (and fiancée, Matt Dotson). Also surviving are six Great-Grandchildren; numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation Saturday, 5-9 p.m., at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc. Visitation resumes Sunday, 6:30 a.m., and funeral Sunday, 1 p.m., February 1, 2009, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev.
