Wilburn Hayes

FARMINGTON — Wilburn C. Hayes, 82, passed away January 28, 2009 in St. Louis. Wilburn was the son of Clinton and Flossie ‘Smith’ Hayes. Wilburn was preceded in deathby : his wife, Martha ‘Shoopman’ Hayes; Son, Ronnie Hayes; Brothers: Willard and Lowell Hayes; Sisters: Darlena Wisdom and Ilene May.

Wilburn was a WWII US Army Veteran; member of Pleasant Hill United Baptist Church; former owner/operator of: Ozark Village; Hayes Gulf; Hayes Shell and Hayes Service Center.

Survivors Include: Daughter, Karen (Harold) Marler; Sons: Wilburn (Jane) Hayes; Mike (Tammy) Hayes; Sisters: Roberta (Lee) Smith; Betty (Dallas) Huffman and Flossie Pogue. Brothers: Tommy (Charlotte) Hayes; Bobby (Doris) Hayes. Grandchildren: Candy (Ernie) Acton; Rhonda Smith; Chad (Jennefer) Marler; Chris Hayes (and girlfriend, Jennifer Stanfill); Kristen Hayes (and fiancée, Matt Dotson). Also surviving, Six Great-Grandchildren; numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation resumed today, 6:30 a.m., and funeral today, 1 p.m., at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel, Farmington, with Rev. Al Winebarger officiating.
