Dorothy Harris

FARMINGTON — Dorothy Lucille Harris of Farmington passed away Sunday, February 2, 2009, at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 79 years. She was born April 19, 1929, at Farmington, daughter of the late Marvin and Lottie (Willis) Welch. On April 28, 1947 she was united in marriage to Ernest Wesley Harris at Flat River.

Dorothy worked many years as a dietary aide at the Camelot Nursing Center and was a lifetime and active member of Three Rivers Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Ernest W. “Ernie” Harris, four sisters, Edna Rolens, Lorella Pettus; and Elsie  (Mrs. Victor) Henderson, all of Farmington; Patricia Stamm of Park Hills; and an aunt, Millie Willis of Farmington. She is also survived by several nices, nephews, a host of other relatives, friends, and her church family. She will be dearly missed by all of her friends and loved ones.

Friends may call on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 7 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Wright officiating. Burial will be at Three Rivers Cemetery. The family wishes that any memorial contributions be made to the New Church Building Fund at Three Rivers Baptist Church.
