Roosevelt students going ‘green’
Third grade teacher Cindy Danieley and second grade teacher Michelle England have created a recycling program to help Roosevelt Elementary “Go Green”.
This is a way for each class to take part in help saving the environment. All the classrooms at Roosevelt have been supplied with a bin to keep their papers in and at the end of the day Student Council members will empty each can into the recycle bins that are taken to St. Paul.
Every Friday parents that volunteer take the bags of recycled items to St. Paul Lutheran School. Danieley says “I hope this will carry over at home and encourage them to use the city recycling facility, especially with parent involvement.”
