James Cochran

BISMARCK — James T. Cochran, 79, of Bismarck passed away February 19, 2009 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. James Cochran was born February 2, 1930 at Alabama.

Preceded in death by: His parents, John Cochran and Ona (King) Cochran; wife, Violet Cochran; also daughter, Judy Ann Hartman; several brothers and sisters.

Survived by: Children, James E. Cochran and wife Beverly of Jonesboro, Ark., Barbara Jo Lowery and husband Lee of Festus, LeAnna Comparato and Monty of De Soto; Kathy Presler and husband Perry of Barnhart, Dana Jasper and husband Steve of Hillsboro, Janet Bennett and husband Doug of Hillsboro, Frances Heaviland and husband Gary of De Soto, Lisa Price and husband James of Cedar Hill, Steven Cochran and Michelle of Farmington; 26 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; sisters, Liz Tapley of Inverness, Fla., Mary Young of Clarksville, Tennessee, Loudie Cochran of St. Louis: Brothers, Charles Cochran of Pevely; Buddy Cochran of Shreveport, La., John Cochran Jr. of St. Louis; J.C. Cochran of St. Louis; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home after, 5 p.m. on Friday. Services for James will be Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home with the Rev. Rich Greyson officiating. Burial will be at Layne Cemetery.
