Harol Lavern Rowe
Harol Lavern Rowe, 74, of Fredericktown died March 11, 2009 at St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born January 31, 1935 at Beaufort, North Carolina, the son of Ottis Bryan Rowe and Minnie Bell Smith.
On March 7, 1958 he was united in marraige to Jean Marie Benwell at St. Louis.
Mr. Rowe was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Oscar Winfield Rowe.
He is survived by his wife Jean Marie Rowe; one son, David Vison Rowe of Ironton; one daughter, Esther Lavern Rowe of Fredericktown; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Rowe had retired from McDonnell Douglas in 1991. He then moved down to Dayspring Bible Camp in Ironton. He spent ten years as caretaker there with his final years spent in Fredericktown working with friends and loved ones at the First Baptist Church.
He was a member and Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Fredericktown.
Mr. Rowe was always available and willing to help with any project at church.
He enjoyed deer hunting, race cars and church work.
Services were held March 16, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Fredericktown with the Reverend Tom Johnson officiaitng. Burial was at Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Pallbeares were: Bruce Bandy, Rob Benwell, Scott Chapman and Ron Chapman.
