LeRoy W. Hendrix

LeRoy W. Hendrix, 70, of Perryville, Missouri died March 14, 2009 at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

He was born January 26, 1939 at Silver Lake, Missouri, the son of John W. and Martha (Stacy) Hendrix.

On December 5, 1959 he was united in marriage to Betty (Sparkman) Hendrix who preceded him in death on July 29, 1991.

He was then married to Joan “Ann” (West) (Faircloth) Hendrix on April 3, 1993.

Mr. Hendrix was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty Hendrix; one brother, John Hendrix; and one sister, Etta Mae Herron.

He is survived by his second wife, Joan “Ann” Hendrix of Perryville; one step-son, Brent Faircloth of Greenville, Missouri; one step-daughter, Lee Ann Stout of Plano, Texas; two brothers, Bill Hendrix of Thayer, Missouri and Jerry Hendrix of Farmington, Missouri; five sisters, Shirley Broeker of Pevely, Missouri, Wanda Francis of Charleston, Missouri, Mary Alice Vinson of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Brenda Williford of Doe Run, Missouri and Carol Clements of Prophotson, Illinois. Mr. Hendrix had four step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

He was retired from General Motors Parts Divison in Hazelwood, Missouri.

Mr. Hendrix was a member of Whitewater Christian Church, a Mason-Ferguson Lodge #542, Scottish Rite Body in St. Louis and a US Army veteran of Vietnam.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Young and Sons Chapel with the Reverend Don Estes officiaiting. Burial will be at the Whitewater Christian Cemetery.

There will be military graveside service provided by the American Legion Post 133 and the Delta Team.
