Habitat for Humanity work day

Saturday will be another work day for the Habitat for Humanity of St. Francois County.

Work starts at 8 a.m. at the site of Cindy Dotson’s future home at 106 Third Street in Farmington behind The Factory.

Linda Dickerson, director of the local Habitat, said the work will include installing shingles, setting exterior doors and windows, and installing siding.

She said if you have any experience in any of these categories, come out and give them a hand.

“If you don’t have any experience, but you would like to learn, you are welcome to come out and we can teach you how to hang siding, and install windows and doors,” she said.

If you plan to attend, call her at 573-760-1702 or e-mail at lindadickerson@hotmail.com so they can have an idea of how many people they will have for the day.

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans’ local congregation will be providing lunch for all volunteers.
