Scouts Attend Eagle Court

A group of Boy Scouts of America gathered on the campus of Southeast Missouri University recently for an Eagle Court of Honor. The afternoon involved a luncheon for the Scouts and their parents and then the Eagle Scout Award presentation. Three scouts from the Mineral Area were in attendance: Kyle Black of Park Hills Troop 417; Justin Phillips of Potosi Troop 480; and Joseph Benson of Potosi Venture Crew 2480. In 2008, there were 528 Scouts who earned the Eagle Award in the Greater St. Louis Area Council. The Eagle Award is the highest award a Scout can earn as a youth in the Boy Scouts of America.
