Landlord, tenant dispute leads to arrest of both
PARK HILLS — A landlord and tenant dispute turned ugly Sunday as both were arrested for third degree assault. St. Francois County Sheriff Dan Bullock said the incident occurred at a rental property located on College Road.
“The landlord claimed the tenant abandoned the property,” Bullock said. “Evidently, he confronted him about this and the tenant hit the landlord with a shovel. The landlord then hit the tenant back.”
Bullock did not think either man was seriously injured in the incident. He said deputies arrested both men at a Desloge trucking business following the incident.
The names of the men are being withheld pending the filing of formal charges.
