West County Concert Choir Receives ‘1’ Rating
West County Choir recently achieved distinction among 27 schools of the East Central Missouri District No. 7 during the annual Music Contest at Jefferson College.
The Choir received an overall rating of “1” (the highest possible). Each school was rated by four judges on their performance of two songs of differing styles as well as sight-reading.
According to the Missouri State High School Activities Association, a “1” rating is awarded for a clearly superior performance that is recognized as being among the very best for the event and class of participants being judged.
Students in the West County Concert Choir are: Lacey Barbre, Marissa Beck, Josh Brown, Lauren Callahan, Ashley Cantrell, Shelbi Cantrell, Kendra Chapman, Brittany Coleman, Gary Costner, Kaylin Dalton, Rachel Davis, Laura Eaton, James Ferrell, Jamalynn Frago, Jeremy Hampton, Amber Harris, Alicia Jones, Victoria King, Taylor Laird, Lakyn Lewis, Leslie Lozano, Alesha Mahurin, Tyler Maxson, Alissa McCandliss, Ethan McCoy, Brandon Moore, Johnny Politte, Kristin Renshaw, Emily Resinger, Jessica Romero, Kacie Scott, Anna Smith, Collin Spencer, Brittany Strange, Sidney Waite, Sabra Ward, Rebecca Weiss, Dillon Williams,Jamie Wills and Josiah Wills.
The West County Concert Choir is under the direction of Ryan Hassell.
