2nd Annual Madison County Celebrity
Saturday, March 14, “Friends of Music” hosted the second annual “Madison County Celebrity”. The MC for the evening was Mandy Mitchell.
The show began with The National Anthem performed by Mr. Keith Bales on his trumpet. The 2008 “Madison County Celebrity” Ron Rehkop took the stage and sang “If Tomorrow Never Comes”. The contestants are as follows: Aaron Wasson was first on stage and he sang “Look After You”, Connie James sang “I Wonder”, Craig Mills sang “Your Man” and Cassie Dunnahoo sang “Crazy Dreams”.
A 10 minute intermission took place and music was provided by “Consumed”.
The second half of the show began with Ray Allgier singing “Kiss An Angel Good Morning”, Jeremy Leach sang “Evil Things”, Aaron Sullivan & Lauren Wright sang “Stand In The Rain”, and our final contestant was Rachelle Moore singing “You’re So Vain”. At this time each member of the audience placed their vote for their favorite idol. The judges and audience votes were tallied.
All contestants joined Mandy on stage and Jeremy Leach was named the “2009 Madison County Celebrity”.
We would like to acknowledge our Celebrities for making this show possible and a huge success. Each and everyone of you deserve the title “Madison County Celebrity”. Also a great appreciation to the School System and staff, sponsors, Mandy Mitchell, the band “Consumed”, Mark Ellis, Keith Bales and Lisa Lewis.
