Linda Goff

DE SOTO — Linda Lucas Goff, formerly of Bismarck, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009, at her residence in De Soto, Missouri, after fighting a courageous battle against Breast Cancer for 10 years. Linda, also known as Grammie or Grandma, lived life for her family and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Avanell Carder and her father William Anderson.

Linda’s loving survivors include her husband Richard Goff of De Soto; daughter Debbie McDonnell Gollihue and her husband, Doug Gollihue of De Soto; and son Jason Wayne Lucas and his wife Katherine Lucas of Bismarck. Also surviving are Grammie’s/Grandma’s precious grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Connors, Molly Elizabeth Gollihue, Kennedy Leigh Gollihue, Johnathen Wayne Lucas, and Alexandria Marie Lucus. Other survivors include step-children Patti Goff of New York, Russell Goff of Texas, and Cheryl Goff of Texas. In addition to Linda’s loving family members, she leaves behind many, many cherished friends from all over the United States. She loved her Texas friends, her military friends, her Braniff friends, her literary friends, her LaMar friends, her Bismarck friends, her friends at St. John’s Mercy Cancer Center, and her friends at the Grandview R-2 School District. Linda also had a special bond with her daughter’s best friend, Becky Jackson, to whom the family is deeply grateful for her loving support during this emotional and difficult time. Linda would also want us to mention her loving grand-dogs, Buck and Cash.

Visitation for Linda Lucas Goff will be at Shipman Funeral Home in Bismarck, Missouri on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at 6 p.m. with a memorial service at 8 p.m.
