Lightning shatters tree in Doe Run

Lightning reportedly struck this tree behind the Masonic Lodge on Poplar Street in Doe Run Thursday night. Eddie Watkins said it looks like the tree just blew up, scattering debris all over the lawn and even to the highway. “I’ve never seen anything like it,” he said.
