Park Hills-Leadington Chamber golf tournament coming up soon
For two years in a row, rain has wreaked havoc with the Park Hills – Leadington Chamber of Commerce’s schedule for its annual four-person scramble golf tournament fundraiser.
Chamber members hope the third year proves to be the charm by bringing them clear skies Friday, April 17.
The 10th annual Chamber Golf Tournament begins with registration at noon at the Terre du Lac Golf Course, followed by a “Shot Gun” start at 1 p.m. Dinner, door prizes and awards follow the 18-hole scramble tournament.
“We have more prizes than ever this year,” said Chamber Director Tammi Burns. “We have over $800 in cash and prizes to give away.”
Cost is $300 per four-member team or $75 per individual.
Cost for the Poker Run is $5 per hand and the Ball Toss costs $10 per team. The Poker Run involves players collecting cards at several locations on the course to win a money prize. The Ball Throw provides certain opportunities along the course for frustrated golfers to pick up their ball and throw it to give them added distance or to let off some steam. Deadline for entry is Wednesday.
Entry fees cover green fees, cart rental, dinner and drinks. Prizes will be awarded for first through third place. Lunch is available for purchase.
Proceeds from the tournament go to the Chamber’s projects, including its annual Foster Children’s Christmas Party.
