Fill bags with personal care items

The Girl Scouts left bags at residences all over the region last weekend that they hope will be filled with personal care items.

Girl Scouts will retrieve the bags Saturday morning and deliver them to local food pantries.

They are looking for items like shampoo, toilet paper, soap, etc., items that can not be purchased with food stamps.

Last April, more than 1 million personal care items were collected. The program began in 1998.
