Marquand-Zion R-VI School Board tie vote resolved

Lethia Homan has voluntarily relinquished all rights and privileges regarding the vote that resulted in a tie between her and Steve Stroup according to Madison County Clerk Don Firebaugh. Both candidates received 53 votes in the April 7, 2009 election.

According to a voluntary written statement filed with the Madison County Clerk’s office  on April 13, 2009; Homan said she publicly announces her wishes are for Steve Stroup to assume the directorship and serve the three (3) year term.
