Habitat needs volunteers
Volunteers are always needed for Habitat for Humanity projects.
Some volunteer only a few hours per month, others spend several hours per week and some even volunteer from their homes, while others donate their assistance at fundraisers and other important tasks. All volunteers have control of what they do and how many hours they spend volunteering
They can become part of many different committees.
The Family Selection Committee handles orientation of applicants, including assistance filling out application, checks references, and visits prospective families.
The Family Support Committee provides families with a family partner to ensure successful homeownership; network with community agencies.
Development Committee does PR, fundraising church relations, and volunteer coordination. Site Selection Committee selects sites for building Habitat homes.
Building Committee assists with home design, procurement of materials, and supervising building of the homes.
