Young to resign seat on Desloge Board of Aldermen

DESLOGE — Desloge Aldermen Bill Young is expected to resign from the board of aldermen Monday evening during the board’s monthly regular meeting. City Administrator Greg Camp said the reason for the resignation is Young is moving outside of city limits.

Mayor David Kater is slated to appoint a replacement for Young during the meeting. In other matters the board will discuss an ordinance that calls for the city to vacate Second Street and an ordinance that will consolidate two lots at 404 North Grant Street.

The board will also discuss bids for the sale of a 1990 Dodge pickup and bids for paving. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Desloge City Hall.
