Motorcycle accident injures man

A Farmington man was injured in a motorcycle accident on Route B Sunday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Robert N. Capps, 58, was taken to Parkland Health Center for moderate injuries.

Reports indicate he lost control of a 2006 Harley Davidson on a curve. The vehicle skidded off the left side of the road near Crocker Court.

The accident was reported at 4:30 p.m.

A Desloge woman was injured in an accident on U.S. 67 Friday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Deborah Wigger, 54, received moderate injuries and was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Reports indicate she fell asleep while driving a 2005 Buick Rendezvous. The vehicle crossed the grassy median into the southbound lanes near Shannon Lane and then went off the west side of the highway, striking some trees.

The accident was reported at 3:10 p.m. Friday.

According to the patrol, Tamara Winch, 37, of Farmington, received minor injuries during a separate accident on Route H near Prine Friday.

She was taken to Parkland Health Center. Reports indicate the 2003 Kia Spectra she was driving ran off the roadway, down an embankment and struck a concrete culvert.

The accident was reported at 2:15 p.m. Friday.

A Potosi woman was injured in an accident Saturday morning on Highway 21 at Big River Heights Road.

Kimberly D. Knighton, 24, was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for moderate injuries. Reports indicate she fell asleep while driving a 1996 Volkswagon Jetta. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

The accident was reported at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
