D.J. Hughes

DESLOGE — D.J. Hughes, 90, of Desloge, passed away Thursday May 21, 2009, at NHC Healthcare of Desloge. He was born Feb. 15, 1919, at Livington, Wisc., to the late William G. and Laura Jane (Lee) Hughes. Preceded in death by his wife, Norma Ruth Hughes, son, John G. Hughes and three brothers: Laverne, Kenneth and Everet.

He is survived by a son, David and wife Donna Hughes of Irondale; two grandchildren: Allison and Kayla; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.

Mr. Hughes was a World War II veteran and P.O.W. and a member of the VFW and American Legion.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel with Rev. Claude Evans officiating. Burial will be at St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery.
