Mark Grigs Memorial golf tourney is June 19

The Mark Griggs Memorial Kiwanis Annual Golf Tournament will be held on June 19 at Crowne Point Golf Club in Farmington.

Proceeds will benefit the Mark Griggs Memorial Kiwanis scholarship to Mineral Area College.

There will be a barbecue lunch before the tournament, starting at 11:30 a.m. Tee-off for the four-person scramble at 1 p.m.

Team entry fee is $280. Cost includes green fees, cart rental, awards, mulligans, lunch and beverages.

Last year, the tournament raised more than $5,000.

Scholarships are for Farmington seniors attending MAC. They get up to $750 a semester toward tuition and/or books for two years.

This year, they awarded two scholarshops, one to Christopher Grovro and one to Lindsey Herbst.
