2009 Pride Edition coming —We are looking for your best storm photos
The 2009Democrat News Pride Edition is being published over a three-week span, starting this week.
Our first section, published in this issue of the Democrat News is an annual favorite, the “24 Hours” in Madison County section, with photos depicting a 24-hour period of life in this community.
The second section is usually a photo contest, and it will be again this year, as we are asking our readers to submit their most impressive or interesting photos of the May 8, 2009 storm and its aftermath and clean-up. You can continue submitting your photos, this week. The submission deadline is Friday June 12. We ask for no more than three photos per person. Please include the name of the photographer, the date the picture was taken, and a brief description with each photo submitted. Photos can be submitted in person at the Democrat News office or e-mailed to: dn@democratnewsonline.com This section will be published in the June 17, 2009 edition of the Democrat News .
The third section, published June 24 is another favorite of local readers. It will be the “Relay For Life” Section with photos and information about the Madison County Relay for Life event held Friday-Saturday, June 12-13, at Fredericktown High School.
