Judith Ann Hamacher Hasenbeck
Judith Ann Hamacher Hasenbeck, 68 of Jefferson City died April 14, 2009 following a brief illness.
She was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, a daughter of, James and Margaret (Kliegel) Hamacher
Mrs. Hasenbeck is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Gerald Hasenbeck; two sons Michael Hasenbeck and David Hasenbeck; sister, Betty McMichael; brother Jerry Hamacher; along with many nieces, nephews cousins and a large community of friends.
She attended Helias High School and Lincoln University.
She lived for many years in Fredericktown and her early working career included teaching school, school administrative secretary, bank teller and office manager in a family practice doctors office. Prior to retiring she spent over 15 years with the state of Missouri as a social worker and investigative case worker with Department of Family Services.
Mrs. Hasenbeck was a very well respected local authority and appraiser of antique jewelry and sold pieces through several antique booths across Mid-Missouri.
She was a member of Missouri Federated Woman’s club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the River City Collectors Club. She served on the Fredericktown R1 School district board and spent time as a board member of the Madison County Azalea Festival.
She loved time spent with her grandchild and family. She enjoyed auctions and collecting vintage jewelry. Judy was a passionate reader and passed her love of books down to her children and grandchild. Judy had a great appreciation of the arts.
A mass of Christian burial was said at Saint Joseph’s Cathedral on April 16, 2009 in Jefferson City Missouri.
