Leona Mae Peters
Leona Mae Peters, 88, of Perryville, Missouri died May 30, 2009 at Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 21, 1921 in Perry, Missouri, a daughter of Arba and Alta Hicklin.
On November 28, 1946 she was united in marriage to Herbert Peters at St. Louis.
Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Peters; one son, Daniel Peters; and one sister, Opal Hicklin.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Scott of Fredericktown and Peggy Barnes of Perryville, Missouri; and one sister, Oneita Shaw of Farber, Missouri.
Mrs. Peters had four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed gardening, playing with her cat, visiting her sister, and being with her children and grandchildren.
Services were held June 2, 2009 at Follis and Sons Chapel with Pastor Dennie Cebulak.
Burial was on June 3, 2009 at Marcus Memorial Park Cemetery in Fredericktown.
Pallbearers were: Mark Benson, Wayne Rodgers, Troy Rauls, Kyle Hudson, Andrew Huber, Justin McClellan.
