Vehicle strikes rock bluff, overturns
A Park Hills man received moderate injuries Tuesday when the 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser in which he was riding overturned on U.S. 67, .2 miles north of Cash Lane in St. Francois County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Terry R. Eaton, 52, of Park Hills was southbound at 5 p.m. when his vehicle traveled off the east side of the road. Eaton overcorrected and the PT Cruiser went off the west side of the road. The vehicle struck a rock bluff and overturned.
Mark M. Eaton, 31, was taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center in Farmington. No injuries were listed for Terry Eaton. Neither had been wearing a seat belt.
Damage to the car was listed as extensive.
Three Mineral Point residents received moderate injuries Tuesday when their 2001 Dodge Neon struck a tree in Washington County.
According to Missouri Highway Patrol reports, Enrique E. Earnest, 41, was southbound on Missouri 21 at 5:35 p.m. when he lost control of the Neon .1 mile south of Route C. The vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
Earnest and occupants K’ra N Patterson, 5, and Shelly M. Patterson-Earnest, 36 were taken by ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital. All had been wearing seat belts.
Damage to the Neon was listed as moderate.
A Richwoods woman received moderate injuries Tuesday when her 1994 Nissan Altima overturned in Jefferson County.
According to Highway Patrol reports, Sheri L. Goins, 44, was northbound on Missouri 21 at 5:20 a.m. when she fell asleep and went off the road and overturned south of Grassy Lane. Goins, who had been wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Damage to the Nissan was listed as total.
Two Ste. Genevieve residents received minor injuries Tuesday when two cars collided in Ste. Genevieve County.
Becky L. Wolk, 44, was westbound on Market Street in a 2001 Ford Taurus when she pulled into the path of a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant that was northbound on Highway 61. The vehicles collided at 11:05 a.m.
Wolk and 14-year-old Christina M. Wolk were taken by ambulance to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. No injuries were listed for the driver of the Galant, Francisco R. Munoz, 54, of Ste. Genevieve. Munoz and Christina Wolk had been wearing seat belts, but Becky Wolk had not.
Damage to each vehicle was listed as extensive.
