Car overturns, injures two teenagers
Two Park Hills teenagers received minor injuries Sunday when their 1998 Mercury Mystique overturned in St. Francois County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol reports, Krysta L. LaComb, 17, was northbound on Route B at 4:25 p.m. when she failed to negotiate a right turn. The vehicle went off the east side of the road and she overcorrected, causing the Mercury to go off the west side of the road and overturn, .1 mile north of Crocker Court.
LaComb was taken by private vehicle to Mineral Area Regional Health Center. Her passenger, Julye A. LaComb, 17, was taken by ambulance to the same hospital. Neither had been wearing a seat belt.
Damage to the Mercury was listed as total.
A Farmington man received minor injuries Sunday when his 1985 Dodge Ram pickup overturned in St. Francois County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Ricky L. Miller, 47, was northbound on Route B at 1:40 p.m. when he went off the right side of the road .5 miles south of Loughboro. Miller overcorrected and the truck went off the left side of the road and overturned.
Miller, who had been wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center. Damage to the truck was listed as total.
A Licking man received moderate injuries Saturday when his 1995 Harley Davidson overturned on Route Y in Washington County.
According to the Highway Patrol, Blake E. Flieg, 43, was northbound at 4:30 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the east side of the road and overturned, .1 mile north of Brakefield Road.
Flieg was taken by ambulance to Salem Memorial Hospital. Damage to the motorcycle was listed as moderate.
