Fall registration available at MAC
PARK HILLS — Mineral Area College is gearing up for the Fall 2009 semester, with classes beginning Monday, Aug. 17.
MAC Registrar Linda Huffman said, “Many times we know people will spend a summer thinking about taking classes, or they wonder if they have enough accumulated credits from prior attendance to get a degree.
“They’re not sure what courses they need to take to complete their degree or certificate. Or, they might have considered changing their careers and aren’t sure of their next step. Now’s the time to give us a call so we can help them answer those questions.”
Registration continues through Aug. 14 for fall classes. Students may enroll between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, but must schedule an appointment to do so. Students who plan to enroll for fall semester and who have not submitted an application for admission should contact the Admissions Office at 518-2228. A $15 application fee is required.
Previous Mineral Area College students who have been enrolled at least one semester since Fall 1981, and have no financial debt to the college, are eligible to register early provided all admission requirements have been met. Transfer students may register during this period, provided their admission papers have been received. These students will receive their registration information after their admission file has been processed. Students are encouraged to take advantage of online registration. Questions regarding registration should be directed to the Registrar’s Office, (573) 518-2130.
