Optimist Soccer Signups
The Fredericktown Optimist Club Soccer season is close at hand. Signups will be 9-noon, Saturday, August 15, at the Jaycee Park Concession stand. This league is open for children ages five through 8th grade.
A new age group is being discussed and we may offer a 3-4-year-old instructional league this year. A decision will be made before this weekend’s signups.
This year we have had a long overdue setting of a distinct deadline for registration. Many reasons necessitate this deadline, including printing of shirts, choosing of teams, timely startup of practices and the season itself, among other reasons. We hope everyone will help by passing the word around and hopefully no one will be left out.
August 22, 2009 will be the deadline for registration so please be watching for signups. Signups will be August 15 and August 22, as well as at the Elementary and Intermediate School Open Houses.
