Irene Doughty
BONNE TERRE — Irene S. Doughty, 92, of Bonne Terre passed away August 19, 2009 at St. Joe Manor. She was born April 19, 1917 at Loughboro, Mo.
Preceded in death by parents, Ira Martin and Susie (McFarland) Martin Smith; her husband, Melbourne Doughty; sisters, Zella Warren, Lela Hall, Ruby Gross, Hilda Clevenger; Brothers, Henry, Charles and Jesse Martin.
Survived by two sons, James and Patrick Doughty of Texas; four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; four brothers, John Martin and wife Jane of Springfield, Mo., Oscar Martin and wife Virginia, Gene Martin and wife Patsy of Park Hills, Jim Martin and wife Bonnie of Lithonia, Ga., Several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.
She was a member of Elvins Baptist Church, member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Farmington.
Visitation will be at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home after 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Services for Irene S. Doughty will be at 2 p.m., Sunday at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Martin and Rev. Doug Clinton. Burial at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Farmington.
