Potosi teenager seriously hurt after vehicle overturns

A Potosi teenager was seriously injured Thursday when the 1960 Ford F100 in which he was riding overturned in Washington County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Timothy H. Stringer, 17, of Mineral Point, was northbound on Highway 185 at 5:35 p.m. when he failed to notice a vehicle that had stopped for a left turn. Stringer drove off the right side of the road and overturned, .3 mile west of Missouri 8.

Jeffrey L. Rousan, 17, was partially ejected from the vehicle. He was flown by air ambulance to St. John’s Mercy Medical Center. No injuries were listed for Stringer. Damage to the truck was listed as total.

A Park Hills woman received moderate injuries Wednesday night when her 2002 Harley Davidson struck a tree and fence in St. Francois County.

According to the Highway Patrol, Kelly D. Dickey, 39, was northbound on Germania Road at 8:05 p.m., when she lost control of the motorcycle. The vehicle went off the right side of the road, striking a tree and a fence about .7 mile north of Missouri 8.

Dickey was flown by air ambulance to St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur. Damage to the motorcycle was listed as moderate.
