James Jenkins
BONNE TERRE — James R. Jenkins, 83, of Bonne Terre passed away September 3, 2009 at Missouri Baptist Hospital. He was born February 22, 1926 at Vandalia, Mo. James was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church, he retired from Merchants Wholesalers. James was later employed at Boyer Funeral Home from 1991 to 2006.
Preceded in death by: Parents, James William and Nellie (Taylor) Jenkins; first wife, Dolores (Bess) Jenkins; two sisters, Martha McAllister and Mary Myers.
Survived by: Wife, May Belle Jenkins; three sons, Jim and wife Linda Jenkins of Arnold, John and wife Thumper Jenkins of Magnolia, Texas; Bob and wife Annette Jenkins of Wildwood, Mo.; three daughters, Donna Yates of Bonne Terre, Mary Johnson of Desloge, Bess Ann Bannister of Farmington; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; brother, John and wife Marilyn Jenkins of Bonne Terre; two step-sons, Steve and Gary Pilger; five step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Visitation Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 3 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Services Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 2 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Michael Kelpe officiating. Interment at Marvin Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church.
