Stroupe/Smith

Margie Stroupe of Ironton would like to announce the forth coming marriage of her youngest granddaughter, Heather Nicole Stroupe of Bowling Green, Ky. to James Christopher Smith, also of Bowling Green.

Heather is the daughter of Eric S. Stroupe of Cadet and Brenda (Bill) Jones of Radcliff, Ky. She is the granddaughter of Neda Jean Robbins of Park Hills and the late Andrew (Andy) Stroupe. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Rosey Elizabeth (Stroupe/Lampkey/Jackson) Scaggs and the late John and Minnie Mowry of Potosi Route.

She is a 2004 graduate of North Hardin High School in Radcliff; a 2007 graduate of Murray State University, Murray, Ky., where she received a B.A. in Psychology. Heather is currently pursuing a M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Western Kentucky University at Bowling Green. She is also completing an internship at the U.S. Army Research Institute at Ft. Knox, Ky.

James is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith of Hopkinsville and Diana Tuck of Radcliff. He is a 2005 graduate of Hopkinsville High School and has enliseted in the U.S. Air Force to begin basic training in December.

The wedding has been planned for October 10 at Lake Barkley Convention Center in Cadiz, Ky. She will be given in marriage by her brother, Eric Scott Stroupe II. Matron of honor will be Jennifer Rose Monarch with bridesmaids as Trisha Lynn Parsons, Leslie Dixson Carter and Gonzalo DelBosque.

The best man will be Philip James Bader with groomsmen as Dewey Wayne Cole, Sergio Tomas Cole and Lasacha Nicole Conley.

The couple plan to honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
